Did you try the newest bios, its working good for me. Also did you try the F8 and F9 keys when bios logo shows?
I tried resetting the CMOS, and now the dang thing won't post. No beep, no video. I think it's gonna have to go back to Newegg.
I'll probably upgrade to a better board. Xtreeme Jan 30,5: Did you remove the power plug from back of psu for like 10 seconds then put it back and try again.
No way a reset can Kill it, may have just stuck. Did you reset in bios to optimised defaults or use the jumper? Any help would be greatly appreciated. PSU is Antec EA, with only a 4-pin CPU 12v connector which i connected to pin 1 2 5 6 of the 8-pin on board, according to what people said on newegg. I built it with ps2 keyboard and mouse. Powered up, fans span but no POST! Checked and replugged Biostar TA770E AMD Chipset connections, still no POST.
Entered bios, it was the November version, changed boot order to CDROM first, reboot with bootdisc, flash to Biostar TA770E AMD Chipset successfully with awd no trailing flags. Power up, no POST. So flashed the bios again, this time with awdfl, powered down, power up, same problem. The board doesn't POST on full power off.

It required repeated CMOS clearing and unplugging of power cord, or that was the only thing I know to do in this situation. But rarely it POSTs upon a full power off. So what's the deal with this board??
Why does my Biostar TA770 A2+ not support the Phenom II x4 965?
I hope it is something simple that I overlooked. Could it be the lack of the 8-pin cpu power? Also what's up the the 4-pin molex power for the video card? My PSU has 2 6-pin connectors for video card. But in the bios I can only increase the voltage. I used the jumper. Biostar TA770E AMD Chipset thing had been unplugged all day, still nothing.
I gave up and requested an RMA from Newegg. I think I'll try the Asus M3A, it's pretty similar in specs and price. Thanks to everyone for the help.
Are you using an 8-pin or 4-pin CPU connector? This board feels Biostar TA770E AMD Chipset a car with weak starter and battery maybe a great engine. This board feels like a car with weak starter and battery. Crap, I don't remember if they were lit. I don't think so. I know everything had power.

As to the power, my X-Connect power supply only has 4-pin Biostar TA770E AMD Chipset pin power cables, so I just put those in how they would fit. I think it was getting enough power, because when it was working non-raid everything was fine, even gaming. Please check the compatibility of products before purchasing.
